We are hiring Electric Meter Installers for our Dartmouth, NS location to upgrade electric meters for our Nova Scotia Power project. This project has an estimated end date of 12/2020. These full-time positions have a highly competitive hourly wage with all tools and equipment, including a company vehicle provided by Tribus Services LP. Tribus Services has completed more than 25 million Smart Meter/Advanced Meter Infrastructure (AMI)/Automated Meter Reading (AMR) implementations and meter replacements, deploying all types of meter models and smart meter technology.  

Electric Meter Installer: This position is responsible for electric meter upgrades at residential or commercial sites to enhance metering solutions for our Utility Customers. This position will require occasional travel for areas outside of warehouse locations with all costs covered by Tribus Services. Typical travel requirements are a week at a time and scheduled in advance. All applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have a HS diploma, a clean driving record and be able to demonstrate good computer skills. Must have the ability to use hand tools and lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. You should be able to work and drive in all types of weather conditions. All applicants will be required to perform a pre-employment drug and background check. Must also pass the post hire meter pro test.  

**Schedule is 4 10 hour days while traveling approximately 2 weeks per month thru December 2020 to southern Nova Scotia, will be gone 3 nights a week and expenses are company paid.*** Will work 5, 8 hour days when not traveling.

Position Summary:  

Tribus Services has an immediate career opportunity for a Gas Meter Technician. You commute to the Kent office to pick up the company car each day and commute back to your residence at the end of each work day.          

The wage is $18.00/hr. to start and then after the two week training period the wage increase to $19.00/hr. plus a $.75 per hour retention bonus. Four 10 hour shifts 7am-5:30pm, M-TH and TU-FRI.

Responsibilities:  

This position is responsible for placing/installing a meter module, such as a smart meter module or counter, onto a gas meter at residential or commercial sites to enhance metering solutions, accurately measure consumption, and ensure transmittal of signals to the network.                    

  • •Drives company vehicle to first residence/business on route using provided mapping tool to locate site, and verifies address using hand held device.          
  • Drive or walk route to each customer site depending on the distance. May walk up to 4 miles daily.          
  • Locate meter and determines if it is accessible/poses safety hazards. Enter reason code into hand held device if meter is not accessible, and document with appropriate photographic evidence          
  • Verify meter number. Inspect the meter for any damage/hazards. Reads consumption and other necessary information from the meter index. Accurately enters information into hand held device.          
  • Remove meter cover and module from the meter using hand tools. Utilize a hand held device for meter data collection and verification before programming new module. Install the new module using hand tools following all current S.O.P’s for the completion of their assigned route,. Downloads all necessary photographs taken to a shared private server. Downloads new route information into their company provided computer. Picks up their new route of assigned meters, verifies quantity/count. Returns to the field and continues to perform meter module installations.                    

 Requirements:   

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Must hold a valid driver’s license.          
  • Must pass Meter-Pro test                    

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:   

  • Attention to detail and accuracy to record meter data          
  • Ability to read, write, and follow and complete written instructions.          
  • Ability to use hand tools.          
  • Ability to find locations/address by reading a map and hand held device.          
  • Ability to key data into hand held device. Basic computer skills helpful.          
  • Ability to communicate and interact with customers in a professional manner.          
  • Ability to lift/carry equipment and tool bag up to 30lbs.            
  • Must pass Meter-Pro test          
  • Ability to walk up to 5 miles daily, which includes stairs and unpaved/rough terrain areas.          
  • Must have ability to see/read hand held device and meter in order to accurately read and record data.

Tribus Services has an immediate career opportunity for a Full Time Office Assistant/Warehouse. This position, located in Orlando, Florida and will support our TECO Gas project. This position will perform a variety of administrative, clerical, job planning and basic accounting functions to support and maintain the day to day operations of the project. This position provides customer service to employees, customers and candidates, either in person or on the telephone.  

Responsibilities:  

•Will process payroll for all hourly Florida employees, will track and report all field staff attendance.     

•Collects all daily production and payroll information, i.e., hours worked, meter re will ads/installs, mileage reports and enters information into IFS and ADP software for all hourly employees.    

•Calculates overtime, runs reports and reviews payroll data for accuracy.    

•Maintains monthly invoicing. Using our WOMS (work order management system) will plan gas meter installations in the greater Orlando area. Plans appointments for technicians to ensure profitability and safety. 

•Runs production reports and creates spreadsheets showing field performance and other related information as requested by the project manager and/or supervisors. 

•Provides administrative support to Project Manager, Supervisors and Leads by creates correspondence, documents, memos, and emails using Microsoft Office Word and Outlook. Mapping software experience a plus. Inventory control of all tools and equipment utilized in installing gas meters.    

•Ensures the transmission and timely delivery of correspondence, faxes, mail and deliveries.    

•Processes all incoming and outgoing mail including sorting, distribution, packaging and postage.    

•Develops office procedures to insure supplies and equipment are accessible and operational; tracks inventory and orders supplies. Responsible for the receiving of new gas meters ensuring the accuracy of what is received, both type of product and count, by reviewing and confirming purchase order. Prepares all documentation for outgoing shipments to customer and other cross docks.  

Preferred Skills:   

Education and Experience   

High School Diploma or GED.   

 2 years office support experience that includes using word processing and spreadsheet software, answering telephones, basic accounting functions such as reviewing invoices and submitting payroll information.

This position located in Tacoma, WA and will support our City of Tacoma, WA. AMI electric and water meter project. The Project Manager will lead our Electric meter Install pilot project which could evolve into a 2-year smart meter project.   

Responsibilities:   

  • Direct procedures and policies of their project. Analyze and/or evaluate practices and systems to ensure daily operations, prioritizes work to meet timelines, manages continuous improvement of project, procedures and operational methods.   
  • Purchase/obtain all needed equipment and materials to complete the project. Work with Fleet Manager to secure transportation for project. Compile, schedule and issue routes daily utilizing routing and work order management software.   
  • Ensure proper training of all field staff and uphold safety standards.Takes immediate steps to resolve any unsafe working conditions.Collaborate with office and field staff on route schedules, invoicing,errors, training, payroll, employee status changes and other employee related issues.   
  • Verify that all routes are completed ensuring quality and timeliness. Schedules re-reads shut offs and other special consideration customers as needed. Visit route sites and performs quality checks. Track daily completions, labor hours, etc. Runs reports and supplies production information as requested by Director, Corporate or Customer.   
  • Perform staff management functions including: Monitor and resolve on-the-job problems, set appropriate performance standards, analyze staffing levels, interview and selects new employees; facilitate staff training, coaching, cross-training and mentoring; perform performance evaluations and salary adjustments, completes new job profiles, resolve employee concerns; performs disciplinary counseling, and performs terminations with Human Resources assistance. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to staff when appropriate.   
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with customers, keeping them informed on a regular basis. Work with Director of Sales and Operations to introduce the client to Tribus Services Inc. additional services and grow business.   
  • Manage and maintain the project budget. Review operating costs become familiar with project revenue projections and all project related contracts.   
  • Keeps records, tracks project performance and produces reports as requested.    

Requirements  

High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree and/or Project Management Institute (PMI) certification is a plus. 
 Three (3) or more years’ experience supervising/managing people and large-scale projects. Experience with remote/ offsite projects helpful. Two years’ work experience preferred in a utility related environment such as meter installation, meter reading, smart meter technology, utilities work, or similar experience. Must have strong communication skills, written and oral as well as excellent leadership skills.

Position Overview:  

The Supervisor of the Warehouse is responsible for the direction and coordination of all warehouse activities involving meter installation. Ensures the final validation and disposal of all returned/removed meters and/or meter modules. Is accountable for warehouse inventory accuracy. Coordinates the use of company vehicles and is responsible for the project fleet.   

 Responsibilities:  

· Performs staff supervisory functions including: Monitors and resolve on-the-job problems, set appropriate performance standards, providing input into the selection of new employees; facilitate staff training, coaching, cross-training and mentoring; provides input for performance evaluations, resolve employee concerns and performs disciplinary counseling as needed

· Manages schedule of all warehouse associates and leads in daily assignments.Conducts safety meetings and daily tailgate meetings to assure all staff are aware of daily activities and safety protocol.Maintains integrity of the data in Inventory software and the physical count of inventory.   

Preferred Skills:
