Call Center Agents play a vital role, between various customers and the business entities. They are responsible to answer to customer inquiries and questions regarding the products and services, which the organization produces or provides. Depending on the organization that provides the products, the duties and responsibilities of a call center agent differ.  Most agents perform their duties by telephone in the call center, some communicate with customers by fax, post, e-mail, or face-to-face.

  • What you will do
    1. Answering inbound calls and assisting customers with inquiries or questions
    2. Providing individualized customer service of high-standard and professional level
    3. Building the interest of customers in the products and services offered by the organization
    4. Updating the existing database with any modifications or changes and the present status of the customers or prospective customers
    5. Assisting customers with communication-based organization with service queries and problems.
    6. Handling customers inquires and questions directly either by face to face, electronically, or by telephone
    7. Providing feedback regularly on the effectiveness and soundness of policies and procedures within the customer service department
    8. Facilitating the collected competitive information to monitor business opportunities and trends
    9. Checking lines and categorizing customers and problems and issues
    10. Determining problems or issues in queries or complaints handling nature and proposing solutions for enhancements.
  • What you will need 
    1. High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of college-level study with coursework in Business Administration, Communications, or a closely related field.
    2. Two (2) years prior experience in call centers, administrative assistance, office management or marketing positions.
    3. Ability to understand and grasp basic customer information.
    4. Ability to handle diverse people.
    5. Ability to manage difficult customer situations.
    6. Ability to Analyze customer issues and provide appropriate 
    7. Ability to effectively use of resources.
    8. Excellent communication, customer service, interpersonal, and typing skills

Gas Meter Survey Technician

Position Summary:This position is responsible for performing a visual meter inspection to assess the condition and overall operation of the gas meter and regulator confirmation and noting any visible defects or issues. This position walks and drives a route, we are not reading the gas meter or making any changes to the meter. This is a fixed term six month project. This is a gas meter survey on the overall condition of the gas meter.

Responsibilities:Inspect meter and connections for defects, damage and unauthorized use if required per contract. Enters information into cell phone that is company equipped. Maintain and secures company equipment and confidential information. At end of shift, report to Supervisor and enters into cell phone any problem such as meter irregularities, damaged equipment, or impediments to meter access, including dogs. 

Compensation is based on piece rate, .97 cents per meter in the lower mainland. You utilize your personal vechicle, we pay $0.45 per kilometer and we provide a company cell phone for business use
We will supply the tools and material to get the job done right the first time.

Preferred Skills: 
•Attention to detail and accuracy to properly survey the gas meter.•Ability to read, write, follow, and complete written instructions. •Ability to find locations/address by reading a map and cell phone. •Ability to key data into cell phone.Basic computer skills helpful. •Ability to communicate and interact with customers in a professional manner. •Ability to walk route, which includes stairs and  unpaved/rough terrain areas, of up to 8 kilometers each day
Valid Driver’s license  and a good driving record is required. You will have to pass a criminal background check.

In good shape? Like working outdoors? Think about a career as a Meter Reader! We need hard-working, safety-conscious individuals to join our growing team and be ready to learn new skills. You will need a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, though you might end up walking as much as 10k  a day as you visit various sites. You will also need to pass a criminal background check. You will be required to check that the meter is ok and the site is safe. Then you will enter meter readings into a handheld data capture device. You will be handling some people's keys and occasionally meet with customers or their pets. You will need to speak English well, while any additional languages are a definite bonus. We currently have openings for meter readers in:
