Olameter is currently hiring for experienced utility Locators. WILLING TO TRAIN. (DPT certification by ORCGA is a plus). Candidates must have the ability to work outdoors, work in and walk over all types of terrain (grass, gravel, ditches, concrete, etc.) in and around construction zones, residential and industrial areas in all types of weather conditions. Minimum qualifications are that you are able to provide a clean criminal background check if hired, have a valid driver’s license, basic computer skills, the ability to read and understand utility blueprints, possess good communication skills and work with limited supervision. Meter Readers
Ontario:
Positions: 14
In good shape? Like working outdoors? Think about a career as a Meter Reader. You will need a driver's license and a clean driving record, though you might end up walking as much as 10k a day as you visit various sites. You will be required to check that the meter is ok and the site is safe. Then you will enter meter readings into a handheld data capture device. You will be handling some people's keys and occasionally meet with customers or their pets. You will need to speak English well, while any skills in French or Spanish are a definite bonus. We will test your proficiency and, if you qualify, train you to read meters. We currently have openings for gas and electric meter readers in:
