O-WFMS is Olameter’s workforce management solution to assist with mobile service order requirements, including:
- Field installations, service, and maintenance
- Time and materials management
- Work site safety and security
- Project management
- Service order management
O-WFMS has a collection of service order templates that can be simply and rapidly deployed. It is easily adaptable to complex field service processes. Our clients benefit immediately from substantial quality, reporting, and auditability improvements, while avoiding large-scale investment and long-term commitment in hardware, software, and operating costs.
We offer O-WFMS to our clients as a software license or as a hosted service. As a hosted service, we are able to provide our clients’ personnel with the necessary handheld devices, charging cradles, accessories, and dispatching/integration services. O-WFMS can be deployed on any handheld with a Windows Mobile 5 (or higher) platform. Olameter’s workforce currently uses the Motorola MC series of handheld devices. They are favored for their battery life, memory capacity, device speed, variety of integrated peripherals, and resistance to extreme temperatures.
Data Transfer and Integration
Secure data transfers are established through either an XML API or flat file. The flat-file format simplifies integration with our clients’ billing or customer information system (CIS).
Data for service orders are loaded into the O-WFMS web application and dispatched to field service personnel, while taking into consideration
- Available equipment
- Technician’s skill sets
- Allocated territories
- Any other fields requested by the client
Secure data transfers are established through either an XML API or flat file. The flat-file format simplifies integration with our clients’ billing or customer information system (CIS). O-WFMS has been tested extensively to prevent data loss in the field. The equipment can store hundreds of work orders concurrently, and security features restrict field personnel from deleting or altering data that has been collected without the necessary audit trails.
